About Karssen Avelara
Why this site exists
Karssen Avelara is the editor behind casino-originals.com. The site audits original casino games at ten crypto operators: Stake, Roobet, Shuffle, Gamdom, BetFury, Rollbit, Duel, Fairspin, Winna, and Yeet. There are no other operators in the set, and the set is fixed on purpose.
Karssen runs the editorial desk. The site is a one-person project at the editor level with a small group of collaborators on fairness reproduction and data verification. We are not part of any operator. We do not accept operator-supplied draft text. We do not run sponsored content. The way the editorial work is funded, and the way it stays independent of operator pressure, is described below in plain terms.
What this site is
casino-originals.com is an editorial review site for the crypto-casino originals niche. The scope is narrow on purpose. Per the methodology page, the focus is brand-x-game depth rather than wide top-of-funnel listicles. The catalogue covers:
- 74 brand-game review pages - one URL per casino-x-game combination (Stake Plinko, Roobet Crash, Shuffle Mines, and so on).
- 10 brand-level casino reviews - one per audited operator.
- A research blog covering fairness mathematics, token-economy mechanics, mechanic-class strategy, and head-to-head comparisons.
- Editorial pages: this about page, methodology, terms of use, privacy policy, and responsible gambling.
We do not write third-party slot reviews, live-dealer reviews, or sports betting reviews. They have their own audit ecosystems. We do not write content supplied by operators, paid or unpaid.
How a brand-game page is built
Every brand-game page goes through the same workflow. Karssen and the verification collaborator open a funded test account at the brand. We place a sample of 50 to 100 bets on the audited game. We capture the published server-seed hash before each bet, rotate the seed at the end, hash the revealed seed locally to confirm the original commitment, and replay HMAC-SHA256 against the brand's published mapping formula. Bit-identical reproduction is the only acceptance criterion. Every figure - RTP, max multiplier, bet limits, withdrawal speed at the community-sampled median - passes through the three-source rule before publication. The full process is on the methodology page.
How the site is funded and stays independent
We earn affiliate commission when readers register at one of the ten operators after clicking through from one of our buttons. The commission is paid by the brand from their marketing budget. It does not come out of your deposit, your withdrawal, or any other cost. Affiliate links are disclosed on every page that carries a button.
The audit set is fixed at ten operators regardless of which affiliate programmes are active. The verdict on each brand-game page reflects the audit data, not the commission rate. Roobet Crash sits at 97 percent in our coverage whether or not the Roobet affiliate is paying. We have declined brand-side requests to soften a published verdict; that has happened and is logged internally. We do not run sponsored content, paid ranking placement, or contractual-favourable coverage in exchange for commission.
What we will not do
These behaviours are off the table regardless of commercial pressure:
- We do not publish operator-supplied draft text.
- We do not accept payment for ranking position on comparison pages.
- We do not run win-it-back or recovery content. Chase-loss framings are explicitly debunked in the Martingale critique.
- We do not provide personal bankroll advice. The strategy posts describe expected-value math, not a plan for an individual reader.
- We do not engage in clinical gambling-support correspondence; concerned-other or problem-gambling correspondence is routed to GamCare, BeGambleAware, or Gamblers Anonymous (see responsible gambling).
- We do not run a marketing email list. If a newsletter is introduced in the future, the privacy policy is updated first.
Why ten operators and not fifty
The 90-day re-check cycle costs real hours. For each brand-game page, the verification routine involves opening a funded test account, placing sample bets, capturing seeds, running the HMAC replay, cross-checking three sources per fact, signing off, and publishing. Across ten brands and roughly seven originals each, the work fits a small editorial outfit running disciplined cycles. Across fifty brands it does not. A top-50 site that promises weekly updates is either lying about the cadence or running shallow on verification.
The reader who wants to know whether Stake Plinko at 99 percent RTP or Rollbit Plinko at 99.6 percent makes more sense for their style of play benefits from the worked math on the EV gap, the variance comparison, and the per-token economy notes. That reader does not benefit from "Plinko is available at 47 casinos, here is a 30-word paragraph on each". The format on this site is built for the first kind of reader.
How we handle operator correspondence
Operators occasionally write to us. The routine is fixed:
- A factual correction is evaluated against the three-source rule. If two additional independent sources support the brand submission, we re-verify and update with a dated revision note. Single-source operator submissions get added to the trust-data flag list and re-checked in the next cycle.
- A request to soften a published verdict is declined in writing. We document the request internally.
- A marketing pitch (sponsored placement, paid review, link insertion) is declined in writing.
- A takedown notice is evaluated within reasonable editorial time. Good-faith notices receive a revision or a response inside a defined window.
- A legal notice goes to outside counsel before a public response.
How to reach the editorial team
For corrections, takedown notices, intellectual-property queries, methodology questions, or any editorial correspondence, email editor@casino-originals.com. The address is monitored. We answer good-faith messages in reasonable editorial time. Verified factual corrections trigger a dated revision note on the affected page.
For clinical gambling support, please do not write to us - we are not a clinical service. The right channels are listed on the responsible gambling page.
Editorial trust pages
If you want to verify how this site operates, read these together:
- Methodology - three-source rule, fairness reproduction, the 90-day re-check.
- Terms of use - editorial scope, affiliate disclosure, jurisdiction notices.
- Privacy policy - what data the site holds and your rights over it.
- Responsible gambling - autobet pull, warning signs, helplines.
Updates
This page is updated when the editorial team structure changes, when the audit-set composition changes, or when the editorial stance is revised. The revised version appears at this URL with a new "Last updated" date at the top. - Karssen Avelara · editor@casino-originals.com
